The Soviet Revolution

The Revolution of Monarchy of divine right of the Tsars to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was not an over night. The Revolution itself can be split up into two revolutions. The February and the October Revolution. Before we go into the revolutions them selves let us remember some of the factors that lead up to them.

Before the revolutions as said in my previous blogs I have talked about the state of Russia when the Tsars were in power. There was a large gap between the monarchy and the very poor people. To coin a saying "The Tsars were eating gold on their bread" is quite an accurate depiction of the condition of the Monterrey system at the time. We can recall times like "The time of troubles" where a whole third of Russia died of starvation. Other factors leading to the unrest were things like the quest for power and land that the monarchs had. Also to add icing to the cake the poorer of the poor were doing very dangerous jobs. Another one of the links in the intricate spider web of deceit was the day now know as bloody Sunday.  A priest had organized a peaceful  protest(Keep in mind they were still loyal to the tsar and had already informed them that the protest was peaceful) to protest against the poverty and lack of food to try and reform the law so that the people would have better life. The priest and the protesters were shot on sight by the guards of the Tsar leading to the name Bloody Sunday.

The first revolution of 1917 started in February 23rd and lasted until February 27th. The Tsar at the time Nicholas II was kicked out of office and The Russian Provisional Government was brought into power. This paved the way for the USSR and the later October revolution.

The Second Revolution of 1917 took place on October 24th to October 25th. This consisted of Commanders and leaders Vladimir Lenin, Leon Trotsky and Pavel Dybenko leading the attack on the current Provisional Government lead by Alexander Kerensky. After the 30,000-40,000 Strong army had taken control of government the new Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was erected(which took around 1 year 4 months). The people of Russia were happy with the new government which in tern lasted 69 years.
